The bouquet is spicy and oak-tinged, with suggestions of cigar-stub and char-grilled vegetables, the latter certainly derived from stems and whole-bunch ferments. The wine is full-bodied and firm of tannin, with intensity, structure and power, and a persistent finish. A big, ample, full-throated pinot with masses of flavour and tannin. A Stunning wine and one of the best of the vintage. It will sell out fast.
